SBS power packs are deployed across the upstream and midstream — on multi-well pads, pipeline right-of-ways, and remote telemetry sites across the Permian, Bakken, Eagle Ford, and the North Slope.

Application 01

Well Sites

Rod-pump, ESP, gas-lift, and plunger-lift artificial-lift systems depend on battery-backed power for controllers, VFDs, and chemical-injection pumps. SBS packs ride through generator start-up and brown-outs without dropping the controller.

Typical loads

  • Lift controllers (ROD, ESP, gas-lift, plunger)
  • Variable-frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Chemical injection pumps (12V / 24V DC)
  • Tank-level and pump-off sensors

Runtime

12–96 hours on a fully configured rod-pump site, depending on duty cycle and solar supplementation.

Application 02

SCADA & Telemetry Masters

Pad-master RTUs, LACT skids, and flow computers need continuous power with sub-second switchover. SBS packs are the primary source for many of our customers, with the grid or generator as the secondary.

Typical loads

  • Pad-master RTUs (e.g. ABB, Emerson, Schneider)
  • LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) skids
  • Flow computers and chromatographs
  • Cellular / licensed-radio backhaul modems

Runtime

Sized for 7-day unattended operation between site visits, with N+1 redundancy on critical pads.

Application 03

Remote Telemetry

Off-grid pipeline monitoring, compressor stations, and tank-farm sites run for years between maintenance visits. SBS packs are designed for unattended service and remote health monitoring.

Typical loads

  • VSAT terminals and cellular gateways
  • Pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters
  • Custody-transfer metering (4–20 mA loops)
  • Solar charge controllers and hybrid gensets

Runtime

Multi-year deployments, with state-of-health reporting over Modbus or cellular telemetry.

Instrumentation & Metering

Field instrumentation — pressure, level, temperature, and flow — must remain accurate through brown-outs, generator switching, and the long quiet stretches of unattended operation. SBS packs provide clean, low-ripple DC.

Typical loads

  • 4–20 mA current loops
  • HART and Foundation Fieldbus devices
  • Coriolis and ultrasonic flow meters
  • Gas chromatographs and samplers

Runtime

Sized for full pad instrumentation with 48-hour worst-case reserve.
